January Update for the June 17-19, 2010 Annual Meeting. Ron Taskey and Tom Rice have twice visited Swanton Pacific Ranch in preparation for the June 17-19 meeting tour. They dug and described three soil pits within the 'Davenport marine terraces" and two pits in the organic farm lands. Ron will further investigate the forest soils within the next months and dig more pits.
They're also working on the meeting's lodging and meal logistics. By early March, we will send out some details about the specific meeting details and lodging options.
